Yeah, and there were two eras of it having any dominance: before we knew crap about cars or batteries beyond the minimum to make them and after battery tech had advanced enough to seriously compete in convenience with ice. These eras were over a century apart

Battery cars are not in any way dominant today.

That is the prediction. But it hasn't happened yet. Nor can you say with certainty that it will.
