Thanks for this excellent explanation. I am a watch fan but I had no idea Rolex was in this state. As a long time product support guy I do hate to see people losing their mind over micro scratches or signs of wear on things that are being used.
If it wasn't for Reddit's sorry state I'd suggest going over to r/WatchesCirclejerk for a good reference (or r/Rolex too for that matter) to see just how bad it is. Maybe in a few months this community will grow and we'll get to have regular posts making fun of Rolex fanboys. If you see the first post in this community that one is making fun of both people who idolize finally getting the call that their watch is available for purchase, and also at the prevalence for fakes on the market
