That makes me think, what constitutes “communist architecture ” ?
No idea. In style, mostly nothing. Except that, communists tend to value housing and public spaces more. Oh, and green, in Poland when you see tons of concrete around houses, it's 100% private developer.
Big public housing projects that can be built quickly, are affordable, and have transit access. Usually unadorned concrete "towers in the park" (although this term is usually used for Western buildings only - idk why) as a result.
Other than that, the style, amenities, and interior design are pretty flexible and aren't as influenced by ideology and socioeconomic system as one might think. Just look at the history of Soviet architecture - several styles and apartment layouts. I think kommunalkas actually became less common as the economy developed instead of communal living becoming more common. Same thing in China I think.
