I don't agree that it's too large for a "single human brain" -- many single human brains figured it out just fine.

Many single human brains have present numerous solutions.

The problem is the willful ignorance; the people who lean into their confirmation bias. The problem is people who believe that everyone does this.

We need to normalize telling these idiots to shut the fuck up.

That's true. And we live in democracies where the many ignorant people can choose who is making the rules. And politicians have learned to exploit this and tell people what they want to hear to get elected. I'm not saying we should abolish democracy, but this system is not very effective in dealing with these kind of problems
