Glad someone made it though. I've peeked back into reddit a few times and it's a completely different world over there. I'm loving Lemmy so far. Feels so much more engaging.

Yeah I really like the federated nature of things, it's got me really exploring other communities on other servers, plus KBIN magazines, Mastadon stuff, Peertube, etc...

I've looked at kbin and subscribed to a few communities but that's it. Mostly keeping lemmy.world my home. Is peertube just like a federated youtube?

I agree 100 percent... It starting to feel freeing getting away from the toxicity that it's become over there.

Man, I didn't realize how bad it got until after leaving. I mean, I rarely posted because people just want to argue about everything and someone will always take your post in bad faith but looking now after being here it's soooo toxic. I really hope Lemmy can stave off a lot of that madness.

Ever have one of those instant click moments? Like the scene in a movie that the bad guy reveals their plan and it’s been in front of you the whole time? That’s what happened lol.
