Finally made a set of winding sticks. Paul Sellers design. Haven’t got to the inlays yet - that will have to come later after the project at hand (Walnut floating shelves) is complete. I just wanted to make something functional for now and I’ll make it nice later.
I’m not sure what wood this is. Salvaged from pallet wood. Thinking it could be hickory? I’m not really sure. I don’t see any medullary rays like oak would have. The wood has a red or pink tinge to it with some gray streaks.
