This is what I'm currently thinking. I'm not trying to clone Reddit, this platform has different strengths and weaknesses. I would like to see it grow organically and see how the community develops.
If we start seeing more regular patterns in posts (whether the same as from r/judo or not), then we can consider "standardising" some things.
I agree we shouldn't aim to clone r/Judo. What I'm really interested in what features lemmy has that would be an improvement over reddit.
I would prefer to see more "sticky" threads for common subtopics as opposed to having a reoccurring post for each.
But I'm done with reddit. It's become to over-run with bots, trolls, and bad-faith mods/admins. I've already scrubbed everything I've posted on several accounts.
