How do you use dead times at work? (kbin.social)

In the upcoming days, there will be an hour or two when I won’t be able to do anything at work because of technical events happening. This could last a month. I’d like to manage my time effectively but it could also be a chance to do non-related work. What do you do or will do to stay productive during those idle times at work?

I do puzzles, learn languages, maintain a game's wiki, and play portable games that can be installed on my work hardware without going online/writing to the registry/generally upsetting IT.
