John Perry is taking that deal. He has only the vaguest idea what to expect. Because the actual fight, light-years from home, is far, far harder than he can imagine--and what he will become is far stranger.
It’s fun pulp sci-fi. The lead character seems like a Mary Sue but the world building is great and the story caught me. Definitely worth $2.
I think Netflix is making a show too.
