You could totally build a reanimator/stax deck by building it around self-mill and hatebears in abzan!

There's a couple routes you could take, the first that comes to mind is to not be too commander-dependent. Through a commander like Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa. She's great because you can just put pressure on opponents and get benefits by skimming off the top of their decks while you slow everyone's game plans down through your hatebears and reanimation.

The second way is to actually focus on the commander a bit, with for example Nethroi or Meren for reanimation. Or someone more janky like Myrkul for essentially turning your fragile little hatebears into immortal stax pieces

Personally I would go even crazier with Tayam because I simply adore that commander.
