In the migration from Reddit to Lemmy, I noticed there was no equivalent to r/OutreachHPG here. Because of this I made my own community.

I figure there’s probably some overlap between fans of the tabletop games and the Mechwarrior video games so I figured I would share it here.

With Lemmy being a smaller community I figured it made sense to keep the focus fairly broad so any mech game is welcome to be discussed.

As the mod here, I am going to take some time soon and ask the community if we want to include mechwarrior as part of this community, as its (mostly) cannon.

Also if you don't mind me asking @glifted, why not recreate OutreachHPG?

With lemmy being a smaller community I felt a broader focus was necessary. I figured other mech games could be included and it would make the sub thrive a little more. Additionally I'm not in leadership of OutreachHPG and it felt like I was sort of stealing it if I just tried to transfer it here.

Anyway, that's the logic. We'll see if it pans out. So far I haven't seen many posts there so the audience probably isn't there but I'll give it some time.
