Happy Juneteenth!

  • Prep: Klar Activated charcoal facial soap
  • Razor: Zwilling J. A. Henckels Friodur 72-V (13/16", quarter hollow or near wedge, stainless steel)
  • Brush: Zenith B21 (XL chrome-plated copper handle, 28 mm knot with 50 mm loft)
  • Lather: House of Mammoth Mood Indigo
  • Aftershave: House of Mammoth Mood Indigo balm
  • Fragrance: Imaginary Authors Saint Julep

The company I work at was just bought by an American tech firm, and Juneteenth is a company-wide holiday. Yay, leisurely afternoon shave instead of early morning shave!

The chonky 72-V was lovely. Just so quiet and smooth, a bit like by 13/16" Wade and Butcher. I didn't smell much of Mindigo because spring allergies are acting up, but I spritzed enough Saint Julep to at least get that.

I got complimented on the Julep, too. I think I may have to share this bottle with my wife going forward. I count that as a win.
