So the show "Freaks and Geeks" has episodes in different orders depending on if you use IMDB or TheMovieDB. It seems IMDB is correct, so I removed TheMovieDB entry, however I'm not sure how to get the metadata to update with only IMDB.

The options when I refresh metadata are

  • Scan for new and updated files
  • Search for missing metadata
  • Replace all metadata

If I do the first, nothing happens and if I do the other two, it adds TheMovieDB back to the metadata

This is not entirely uncommon due to versioning. The network TV version might have aired in a different order from the later released DVD boxset, or the US version aired in a different order than the EU version, etc. Instead of refreshing metadata, try using the Identify option. Under each of the results it will show the source, so pick the one that matches the episode order you want.
