Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

It's atrocious that a full time work week dito sa Pilipinas is fucking 48 hours and not 40 hours.

My first job, mandatory 1 hour OT (para daw maka-compete sa India) and mandatory 1.5 hours lunchbreak. That's 52.5 hours per week excluding travel.

Looking back, not really sure if it's all that legal, but knowing the company, they probably have loopholes prepared should it be questioned.
