Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

Palagi na lang kino-quote ng mga tao na iligal daw hindi maglagay ng price sa ad according to DTI. Except, when you read the law, they're quoting RA 7394 which clearly refers to retail sale to the public. Mass volume pa nga verbiage nila and using logs as examples. Even their definition of "seller" means engaging in the business of selling.

Tbf, 1992 pa kasi yung law na yan and needs to be amended. But the point still stands, that it's inapplicable to how ad postings work in the modern age na, for the most part, is just some kid trying to sell his/her finished games or preloved OOTDs.
