Friendly reminder that DARE (and almost certainly it's successors) was a proven failure.
Turns out lying to kids and telling them that smoking pot is a terrible horrible dangerius thing makes them question what else isnt so bad.
And they're still calling it dangerous and a "gateway drug."
Yup. Kids are generally smarter than we give them credit for. They're pretty good at telling when they're being fed bullshit like that.
That's rich. Cigarettes are the gateway drug
For me the gateway drug was Alcohol
More people get a caffeine addiction than a nicotine addiction
But caffeine isn't illicit at any age, so it isn't a gateway to other illicit drugs.
It is a drug, so it is a gateway to other drugs. Illicit doesn't matter to biology.
I remember sitting in one of these classes and thinking that LSD and Mushrooms sound fucking awesome.
Turns out I was 100% correct.
I got so high on shrooms the other night and watched across the spider verse . 10/10 awesome
