~Paladin's Grace, by T Kingfisher

I'm not sure exactly how I feel about it. I'm about 80% through with it and I feel like my wife pulled a fast-one on me by recommending it. It has interesting characters and the author is fairly insightful and humorous, but so far it seems like a really soft-core romance novel leading up to a big sex scene and a 'happily ever after'.

I'll report back when finished in a few hours.~

Scratch that, just read the sidebar and realized this was for novels translated from Japan. My mistake. :(
