Probably bedfans. Some of us put filters, like a nevermore or "the filter" under the bed. These filter VOCs and also act as bedfans.
Bedfans help your chamber heat significantly faster.
Yea, it didn't look familiar. I got "The Filter" in mine. Works pretty damn good.
I am in the process of trying to print the filter. I printed the bracket first (about an hour print), kept the chamber hot, and tried the fan section. It warped so badly it popped off the bed...
I printed mine in PETG.
It survives under your bed? That's interesting. What material do you print most of the time? For ASA my bed is at 100 C, but I'm not sure if I'll stick with ASA long term. Pre-Voron parts my main material was PETG.
So far it's held up. Ive started to print ABS. Bed gets up to 105. Probably have done about 15 prints so far. Chamber gets up to around 105.
Is ASA a problem? I was thinking of going to ASA in the future after I tweak the printer better.
Follow up: a clean and scuffed (with the green side of a new soong) bed, letting the printer set idle with the bed at 100c for an hour (evidently klipper will turn the bed off after 30 minutes), readjusting my x-offset (I balme the new build, but for whatever reason the nozzle wasn't as close as it used to be), and adding a brim = great success. I'll probably tinker some more to see if I can get rid of the brim, but I got it printed in ASA successfully.
Good to know PETG has held up. I'm thinking that my warping is due to a mix of low chamber temps (if only I could print the thing I'm going go use as my chamber heater...) and potentially x-offset being a little high. I'm going to try the usual "add a brim, make sure the bed plate is squeaky clean, etc".
So far my ASA experience has been mixed. Natural colored polymaker ASA printed really easily. Their red was rougher, but looking back I was over extruding some. I'm onto black and it's printing well, but corners are lifting mid print on bigger parts. Back to basics I go.
