Try removing the device entirely from your computer including the drivers, cycle the power on the camera, check the ports for damage or debris, then reconnect. Hopefully it was just a driver issue that removing and re-adding will resolve.
Could be a bad port or something else, you'll have to troubleshoot until you eliminate what it isn't until you figure out what it is.
Thanks! I'll try yeeting the drivers I reset the pc power cycled everything unplugged, replugged sideplugged overplugged, reversed the power on/off sequence of devices several times. Removed from powered usb hub to PC, then back again to see if that helped. It's all a kerfuckle lol so stressed about it!
I'd love to have one of the nicer capture cards, but they are a little pricey for me. But I'll try tv connecting, and yeeting the drivers
My next step (before driver stuff) would be to figure out where in the chain you are having issues.
(1) check if the camera is working on its own (assuming it can record to internal memory or something). No? Time to troubleshoot the camera.
(2) connect from the cameraβs mini hdmi to a tv/monitor and see if youβre getting a picture. No? Time to troubleshoot the hdmi out or hdmi cable.
Solved, check main post!
Congrats!
The camera itsself works fine. No issues with the camera proper that I know of, unless it is the mini hdmi port on the camera. I'll definitely be taking it to my TV and plugging it up to see if it works when I get home from work.
I plugged it up to my smart TV. Is it supposed to just automatically display to the TV? Or is there a setting I am supposed to se to make it display through the HDMI?
Solved, check main post!
Glad you got it resolved, thanks for updating your post!
