Hundreds believe American Bully XL dogs should be banned after another shocking dog attack at the weekend. North Wales Live launched a survey asking people whether they should be banned, which has been backed by Home Secretary Suella Braverman.

Radio 2 and their callers had some weird takes. One caller discusses their staffie playing with an XL, and the XL turned and fully attacked. Thats bad of course. But then they went onto “what if that had been a baby?!”. While I get the point, why would a baby be playing with any stranger dog, let alone an XL, in a park? Complete strawman that just ruined the point he was making.

In general - whether they are banned, forced to always be on lead / muzzled etc, it requires enforcement. Are there any police even in the UK these days? Barely see any where I am in the midlands.

I 100% support some level of regulation/banning, whatever. I don’t have much skin in this specific game.

That's the problem isn't it, doesn't matter how many laws they pass, there are no police any more. Its all just to try and get good press for them selves.
