Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! โ๏ธ
An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! ๐ต๐ญ
Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

I'm just curious. What will be the fate of our Lemmy page now that our subreddit has reopened?
It's staying. Both as an active alternative and a fallback.
Some of the "regulars" here either left Reddit a long time ago or have no plans of coming back if it reopened anyway.
Bakit kaya open na uli? Di muna ako magpopost dun hanggang di ko alam kung bakit.
Definitely hindi kasi tinakot kami na mawawalan ng mod status. We never heard a peep from Reddit, lol.
Even if they did, I would gleefully tell them: "Good. Let's move along with that process, shall we?"
That's good to know. Although yun ang kinakalat ng mga Marites sa kabila.
That's actually decent in terms of rumors, haha. At least yan may resibo na nangyari sa ibang subs.
Yung mapapa-tambling ka talaga sa kung san lupalop nahukay is hindi daw Filipino mga mods (not true) and that the head mod was forcing us to hold out (also not true).
Probably because the founder of r/ph was a foreigner
He's been living here for a long while now, so that isn't a "foreigner" anymore.
Furthermore, he barely said anything throughout the entire blackout process. Just said he was supporting us. Idk where the hostage BS came from na umabot pa hanggang Twitter, lmao.
actually mod there being foreigner or not should not be an issue in the first place, parang nangyari kay doc adam lol, as long as ph relevant ang issue I'm fine with it also isn't it a win we're outsourcing a labor this is not what happens technically but can be used as viewpoint for those who have racism problem to ease their pain that one of the mods is a foreigner
Naalala ko may similar issue dati ang r/India na inaakusahan ng mga users from the r/IndiaSpeaks subreddit na hindi raw Indiano ang mga mods ng r/India.
May poll daw na isasagawa on the future of the sub. Probably going the r/pics route. Assuming lang
