Yeah because wanting to pay less taxes, or not wanting overly burdensome restrictions is purely fascism and you definitely isn't conserving a bank account balance.
They are fucking morons but it's insane to me how you people make up these stories calling them all racists or fascists because they want to be left alone and not deal with people forcing safety on them, taking more money from their pay check, or forcing healthcare on them.
Because those sound bites don't actually decrease costs to the average family, which therefore is an increase in their financial burden.
Also, please tell me how conservative policies like "restricting books with certain topics" and "not allowing same-sex marriage" is getting rid of "overly burdensome restrictions".
I already said they were dumb. That doesn't make them a Nazi.
But what you've essentially done is mentally aggregated the worst of the party as official head cannon. Being generous, less than half self identified GOP voters support book bans.
As for the rest of your cherry picking, it is incredibly easy to find pages and pages of ineffective gun policy, banning sugary drinks transfats and food, forcing shit like life jackets on fully functioning adults, vice taxes, gambling, etc
tfw you don't know the difference between "most" and "all"
Exactly! Most GOPers don't support book bans.
they do when they Vote for the GOP, you can't vote for Fascists and then claim, "yeah but I don't agree with them"
In a two party system? Sure you can. There are plenty of regressive LGBT, financial, and corporate policy supported by the DNC and you still are going to vote for them every year. For years Democrats hated LGBT groups, supported the war in Iraq, refused to raise taxes on high earners (to this day really), support bans on encryption, and have eroded privacy.
You've voted for them. Every. Single. Time.
And if you were one of the few who went third party, your vote had had zero effect whatsoever.
