You may need to clear your HDD first, run cfdisk I have had issues when doing an install over an existing OS, it doesn't seem to like having existing data so you have to clear it first with the command then rerun the install script.
So we've gone full circle and we're now back with a crappy installer that does not work properly and needs manual work outside the installer?
It takes 5 minutes to install Arch manually so why even bother using scripts?
*before reading, and typing all the required commands for 10 minutes.

Well it's easy for beginners to use the archinstall script than go the manual way.
If that's what they want, they chose the wrong distro.
