I saw this. For anyone wondering, the game has inis in the main folder that determine the graphical settings in-game. So "low" graphics settings are "low.ini", for example. This mod replaces them with tweaked settings - low goes lower, ultra goes higher.
I tried the potato (aka the replacement for low.ini) settings on Steam Deck and they greatly improve frame-rate, but at the cost of resolution. It sets the resolution scale to 35%.
Well I already can't get more than 75-85 FPS in most places even with a 4090 (edit: 4K with 75% res scale), so I was hoping that this mod* would optimize for performance at all quality levels. I don't need to go beyond Ultra. No currently-existing PC does.
There is a DLSS replacer instead of FSR and it helps but I only get maybe 10 more FPS at best on my 4090.
I use that mod and it actually makes my FPS worse.
Really? I found I need to turn off the native resolution scaling otherwise it runs both which did make the FPS and image quality worse. Though the guide said to do it that way. Maybe I installed it wrong??
Holy shit
Yeah, it's super potato mode.
