anytime someone says "I used to be a communist" then defends capitalism, 9 times out of 10 they were a larper who never actually read substantive theory and was just angry at certain aspects of the capitalist system... which their privileges overcame, thus pushing them back to the right without ever actually learning anything.

This person claims to've "woke[n] up ... [to] look at the facts" but really they turned on MSNBC and turned off their brain.
