At his best, Punk is extremely compelling on the mic, and puts together great matches in the ring. Recently, he seems to be more concerned with pushing his petty grievances than actually giving people what they came for, though.
He definitely peaked with the MJF feud. The Hangman feud ended up being kind of awkward, and I honestly thought it was leading up to a Punk heel turn because of how smarmy he came off through it. And ever since then, he's just disappeared further and further up his own ass.
He was clearly a heel in the Samoa Joe match, but it his promos and the build leading up to it he was playing a face. I guess he decided I'd he got a heel reaction he would just play into it. His current run would be much better if he just committed to it though.
