Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! โœˆ๏ธ

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

Tonight's Ask PHlemmings: What is a profession that you have limitless respect for?

Teachers/Professors

Definitely teachers. Having to teach and guide human beings who are impulsive and reckless by nature due to their still developing brain is not an easy feat. Endless patience and understanding is needed. Used to teach in a middle school and high school for three years before and my goodness, it was so difficult but also so fulfilling. It's something I'd probably never do again.

Matinong teachers ha, not those who are abusive and have no moral compass

Janitors. They are the backbone of society and they are underpaid.

Stuntmen, and in extension yung mga extras na din. Risking their lives para hindi yung main actors yung gumawa ng mga delikadong scenes, or kahit yung mga eksenang alam mong di gagawin personally ng mga actors normally.
