In the first main quest of >!high isle!< (dunno if a certain other site’s spoiler text works here), one of the objectives involves reactivating a lighthouse. The priestess controlling the darned thing then proceeds to stand directly in the now-active light while giving you info related to the quest.
She wanted the light fixed so she could blind herself, she's seen far too many idiots come through and would rather live forever as the blind light keeper
