The UN wouldn't do dick to stop the aliens. They'd probably try to engage in talks while every major city gets orbitally bombarded to dust.

I don't know WTF your on about... But you've convinced me. Have my vote.
Alien attacks seems out of scope for the U.N. It's for resolving conflicts between members, and the aliens are probably not members. Downvote if I'm wrong.
