Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

I remember joining an online transcription kind of job and I gradually found out that the higher ups there are encouraging those with high positions and some others transcribers to talk shit to newbies that are naive there and those that are questioning and ranting against them. They probably do so since almost everyone can easily join there and the pay is very below minimum wage.

I once visited their FB page during lockdown and saw some looooooong threads of pinoys going at each other and taking shit with one another. Mostly those with high positions there bragging how much they earn there, and then those that are calling out how abusive and unhelpful those people are. Those people talking shit are very much similar to how govt paid trolls here would function and I'm just not surprise with them.
