My findings so far (purely on fun or not and not about DPS, in open world pve):

  • pistol/torch harbinger - feels great and natural

  • gs harbinger - feels ok, not adding much to the play style

  • hammer fresh air tempest - ok to meh, tbh still feels like two different things on one, but it's better than dealing with spheres

  • sword/horn tempest/weaver - fun! Very mobile and many options for different situations

  • rifle and scepter daredevil - meh and probably bad, rifle without malice doesn't work for me at all, scepter does not do anything great by itself

  • staff deadeye - fun with perma quickness but probably not good at the end of the day

What do you think? But all in all I am happy for revs to finally get rid of hammers.

Surprised no one has mentioned revenant yet. GS is fantastic, and SB is both a ranged condition weapon and- sadly - better than hammer even for power. Herald is a big winner here, ren/vin less so but still solid. I'd say it's between this and ele for the biggest benefit.

Agreed. Having anything other than hammer for range is welcomed for rev. SB also works in melee for condition builds.
