My son is still using my Pixel 3. The battery degraded considerably over the years, but it's still usable. My Pixel 5 had major heat issues, particular if I took a lot of pictures outside in the summer. I traded it in for the 7p.
Except for the fingerprint sensor the 7p has been a solid upgrade, and honestly the in screen fingerprint sensor has been working well for me. My only complaint is that the compass is garbage. I have to recalibrate every time I open the navigation interface, even if it's mid-journey and I'm just pulling the phone out of my pocket to see which way to turn at the next intersection.
At this point I'm no longer what I'd consider a fan, but I stick with the Pixel because it's still better than the alternatives. Hardware complaints aside, I'll take the software over Samsung's crap any time.
