Ergonomic, split and other weird keyboards

Rules

Keep it ergo

Posts must be of/about keyboards that have a clear delineation between the left and right halves of the keyboard, column stagger, or both. This includes one-handed (one half doesn't exist, what clearer delineation is that!?)

i.e. no regular non-split¹ row-stagger and no non-split¹ ortholinear²

¹ split meaning a separation of the halves, whether fixed in place or entirely separate, both are fine.
² ortholinear meaning keys layed out in a grid

Been seeing allot of trackball thumb mods but I don't have a 3D printer. Decided to just trace the thumb cluster and scroll saw it out 8).

Im trying to learn how to attack the PMW3320 to the thumb cluster ribbon cable so I don't have to tuck the board that I ripped out of the mouse under my tent. It's a bit of a learning curve so it may not work but giving it a try 8)

How do you click usually with these setups?

I use my left thumb and made the bottom right button left click and the one next to it right click

How is it? I'm building a Scylla currently, couldn't quite go full trackkeeb yet, seems like it's not fully sorted at this stage, plus I'm not full vim master so....

But got elecom huge currently to pair with the Scylla. However curious on your experience so far... Also maybe compared to a thinkpad trsckpoint.. If youve been there?

First trackball and it works pretty well! I had to learn it which took about a week but now works great. Attached it to my chair and now just lean back and use my TV sometimes to do work 8)
