Could we collapse whole comment threads instead of leaving the top comment visible? (self.syncforlemmy)

When I've read a comment thread and want to skip to the next one it's a bit annoying having the top comment still there even though the thread is collapsed, especially when it's a comment such as the TLDR bot.

Could we have the option to collapse threads leaving just the commenter name and an option button to reopen the thread if needed?
