That another time never happened. Sums up the sequel trilogy. Lots of setup, but no payoff.
Ugh that scene TFA derailed it in microseconds. So much stupid hand waving by JJ. That movie started on such a high note, then every minute following the opening act was like watching a bouncy house slowly deflate.
I still cannot believe all 3 movies were not planned out. What were they possibly thinking?
I mean it appears they were thinking they JJ Abrams would introduce some mystery box intrigue with a soft reboot and the rest would just fall into place.
But.. idk I just.. I don't get it. Imagine you were just put in charge of the next star wars trilogy. Wouldn't you like... Plan it out? Throw some ideas to the wall and work out a trilogy before committing to it?
Great effects, solid characters, and just... All over the place from there on out.
