For the first time, Disney is seeking damages in the state court case initiated by the governor's handpicked oversight board.

In the case initiated by the board of supervisors picked by DeSantis to oversee Walt Disney World’s special tax district, the entertainment giant on Thursday filed a series of counterclaims, including for breach of contract and violations of the Florida constitution over its due process and free speech rights. It moved for damages and an order forcing the district to comply with the terms of the development agreements.

Hmmm do I side with government fascists or corporate fascists for this issue?

Corporate fascists. One only hurts an industry reducing wages and overworking workers while the other actively encourages the loss of rights and murders of minority groups and is looking to expand they’re influence to the whole country.

DeSantis is currently the greater of two evils. For now, I cheer on the mouse.

The hope is that Disney becomes so occupied with getting its pound of flesh (and DeSantis has so much to take) that it'll forget to ~~bribe~~ lobby congressmen to extend copyright protections another dozen years. DeSantis loses, Disney loses, everyone else wins.
