Today I was made aware that beehaw.org blocked my entire instance. I would be ok if I simply could not write a post/comment in beehaw, that would be reasonable.

Unfortunately the beehaw users can no longer see my posts, which is a problem when I'm trying to be active and promote other communities on other non-blocked instances. What a mess.

I'd like to know if it's possible to migrate my account to another instance without losing my post history or at the very least the communities I'm subscribed to. My account is only 6 days old so it's not much a problem today, but this can be a recurring problem and if no migration path is available I might have to consider self-hosting or leaving lemmy altogether.

Thanks in advance.

Why do you want them to see your posts and comments so much? The rest of the federation should be plenty of audience, right?

Because right now communities are very small and barely have any activity. The boardgames community in particular is something I care about a lot. I've been trying to make some posts to promote discussion so that when someone walks in it doesn't look like a dead end.

I feel ya. But I think it's just a temporary problem.
