I use an app with a similar name (MemeTastic, but it makes those image macros, though), but I don't need to pay anything AND there is no watermark on any meme!

No, it means that everyone who wants to create a meme image instantly thinks of and downloads mematic
Nope. I've seen the mematic watermark literally thousands of times and made many memes. Never used mematic to do so, let alone downloaded their app.
Not everyone is as susceptible to advertising as you seem to think..
