The fact that you are actually trying to argue that reddit is an extreme left echo chamber (again, PCM, conservative, and conspiracy are all far-right) means I can't take you seriously. You have no fucking clue what far-left even means if you think reddit is even remotely leftist. Why would an "extreme left" website allow these right-wing subs to continue existing? Why would they allow right-wing lunatics to have a voice on their platform? This is directly contradicting your point and you still haven't explained this to me.
Yeah? Show me one example. r/conservative bans people all the time for speaking against their echo chamber, but that's not the same as admins banning users from reddit.
Ten seconds of searching on PCM and I found this post from a few days ago, still very much not removed by reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/PoliticalCompassMemes/comments/15q3mpz/presented_without_comment/
Reddit is totally an extreme left echo chamber, letting posts like that stay up, huh? Again, PCM is a Nazi subreddit.
I understand communism perfectly well, thanks. Excuse me if I don't want to be lectured about communism by a fucking Nazi.
Cry more about being called a Nazi though, idgaf. Enjoy your little Nazi comm, you little Nazi fuck.
Accidentally deleted last time when editing.
Do you actually read what I put before replying? I feel like I'm going to have to do a lot of repeating to get what I'm saying through your thick skull.
Well done! The right (not far right, not even the social right) get THREE subreddits, which we have to be extremely careful with using because Reddit mods like banning anyone who talks about anything other than the Trump situation and can ban you at any time for even commenting on them! Totally means Reddit as a whole is completely fair politically when all their other THOUSANDS of subreddits, even if they are not meant to be political, end up with constant pro-left posts.
If you don't think Reddit is even left-wing, then I'd hate to see your idea of left-wing.
Simple answer — they pretend to. If you dare actually go outside what the admins want, you get banned.
That was an extremely recent thing. Just a month ago, only the left-wing were posting on there. Also, yes it is different. Being banned from one subreddit because it wasn't even meant for you and you're just trying to troll isn't the same as an entire app banning you because you're not on the extreme left.
Same thing as with the subreddit thing, you think ONE post slipping through the cracks because it's presented in an ironic way demonstrates the norm. If you try to talk about the situation seriously, you get banned.
Clearly not, if you think they want a capitalist system.
You're an antisemitic fucktwit who is insulting what Jewish people went through during WW2 by comparing the group who tortured and massacred them ("N-zi") to someone who simply has differing opinions to you. So, go fuck yourself. Americans have such a disgusting habit of using extremist group names as insults for no reason. Uncivilised.
I don't know what else I could've expected from someone who continues to be on the radical left (the center-left are cool, and actually that's exactly what I am, what used to be considered radical left in the 2000s but is now called "right-wing N-zi" by the new 2020s extremists). Your "I don't want to be lectured by someone with [slightly different views from me I'll use an extreme term for]" comment demonstrates the left perfectly. Only the right wants discussion. Left wants censorship and compliance. I've been happy to be taught about left politics, and that's how I actually know communist theory, regardless of my opinions on it.
Edits: I hate formatting. Thought one-line enter was a thing on mobile.
God you're dumb. Trying to get through your thick skull is too much work. Blocking both you and this Nazi shithole now. Bye.
While I don't think Reddit is anywhere near the "extreme left" (that label would be better suited for several Lemmy instances) it does have a progressive bias and conservatives are a minority.
Also, I agree with @[email protected], your overuse of the word "nazi" is extremely disrespectful and shows how uneducated you are. If you had the slightest clue of what that word means I'm sure you wouldn't use it so lightly.
And lastly,
I'm friends with several moderators (or ex moderators, after they deleted their Reddit accounts and moved here) from r/PCM. They'll be able to confirm that back on Reddit they were being constantly messaged by Reddit's "Anti Evil Operations" (the admins) about stuff that they should have removed or that was allegedly breaking the Reddit TOS. And no, it wasn't nazi shit, in most cases it was perfectly harmless edgy humour.
