Mabuhay at maligayang pag-alis sa Lemmy! ✈️

An abandoned community for the Philippines and all things Filipino! 🇵🇭

Started out as a Reddit alternative during the blackout from Jun 12-21, 2023 with over 1k members in just a few days. Fizzled faster than the "I Didn't Do It" kid after a month until it became the internet's Centralia in less than a year.

Sabi sa kabila need daw natin "ma-Oppenheimer" for us to restart and rebuild from scratch and become a better country. Except that didn't happen with Japan, lol. Only about 2km of Hiroshima was vaporized. To put it in perspective, the distance from Kamuning Road to Ortigas is thrice than that. The fallout also mostly affected those who were present during the blast; it was safe to stay there after a few weeks.

Even if by argument's sake we wipe out the entire country, who's to say that we could rebuild it and put up a much better nation afterwards?? You must be drinking from the same Kool Aid as those who voted for Duterte.
