Love this song but oh my have some of the lyrics not aged well, eh? Ha!
Yeah I find this album harder to listen to as I get older, but I think there is something admirable about the raw, unfiltered angst and I think the music is aware of how weird and creepy it is
the music is absolutely wonderful on Blue & Pinkerton, no doubt! But yeah, the sad constant pining for people who don’t want you is creepy, the asian fetishization, reading their diary, hmmm… yeah, we don’t do that anymore, y’all, woof! He grew up watching revenge of the nerds just like me, so I get it, but yeeeeeeaaaaahhhhh……. not so good these days.
Oh weezer. One of my favorite bands of all times, certainly of the 90s and mid 2000s. Maladroit is still one of my favorite (and very under appreciated) albums from their discog.
