Maybe I'm an idealist but hear me out. I think it's valuable if people have a platform to voice their opinions/thoughts on. On the other hand, I also think that one's opinions do not protect one from consequences, i.e. being criticized or made fun of. (Un)fortunately we all share this planet (and the internet) together and no one will ever reach true enlightenment. So as long as there's no threats of violence, whether that be physical or vocal, and this sublemmy can be used as a platform of rational discussion, it should stay. Now here's the spicy part: Evaluating posts without personal prejudice and keeping civil discussion the norm is a Sisyphean task and should, in my opinion, not be the task of a singular person. Just my 2ct...
