Eh, did they though? They stuck with him for a long time, way past him being at his best. They even kept him and let Henderson go on loan when Henderson was arguably better. I'd argue they've treated Maguire way worse; he was gonna be leaving no matter what this window, no need to strip the captaincy before he left.
Oh man. Forgot Maguire was even still there. Ten Hag has no trust in him and then we'll probably still see Maguire the number 1 CB for England.
