9to5 Mac is by virtue of the name very celebratory of Apple things.

Focus more on the tech saving people’s lives.

It’s made me think about situations I might end up in that would benefit from this extra layer of safety where previously I’ve just YOLO’d and not gotten unlucky.

Because it is. Apple does this shit all time and it's enfuriating. Especially considering Android offers exactly the same feature so there's no "thanking" a brand when both major platforms do this. People just lap it up though.

Which Android phones have satellite access? I saw Qualcomm came out with hardware in the beginning of the year that can also sms over satellite but haven't seen an Android phone with it yet.
