I'm surprised they still have free games on it at all. They're basically doing movie pass for games. But making it work.

Imo it makes sense. A lot of titles on gamepass are either multi-player, and thus have near infinite possible play time, or just have a lot of content for 100+ hours on a single game like gta, which mean that unlike movies where people will just burn through their list of titles and unsubscribe, gamepass has a lot that can keep a given individual thinking "yeah, this is still worth it". Plus, the day one launch titles are a pretty good way to keep people using gamepass instead of buying new games outright.
