That’s what Square gets for failing to read the room. Nobody wants a DMC-like. If they had made it a souls-like people would love it. Also, this exclusivity bullshit makes you irrelevant.

No, it should've been a final fantasy-like.

Soulslike games cater to an incredibly specific audience and I guarantee it would've done worse if it was.
