Well, I got five kids, and I paced myself so they're spread out over a couple decades, but I'm well aware of what the dymamic looks like at any age bracket, and politics have been slowly but surely devolving into younger and younger dynamics...

Carter era was kinda collegiate... Had some pretty big shit that got handled in a relatively adult manner..., Reagan went a little high school with the whole popularity being of utmost importance, got into the junior high "who the fuck are we trying to be" deal around the Clinton era (don't ask don't tell, I didn't inhale... Dude was flippy floppy...) Bullying/crying of elementary describes the naughts well, Obama kinda broke the cycle (dude had some elementary school shit going on during his term, but the man was fond of the high ground. Didn't like his policy or opinions, but he did a good ass job of not playing into the bullshit IMHO), but trump brought the fucking kindergarten in with gusto and it's getting awful fucking preschool up in this bitch now...

I present it as a fairly simple analogy, but there's a little more to it :)
