Nennt sich fixie, hat nur einen Gang ohne Leerlauf.. sprich die Pedalen drehen sich mit dem Hinterrad und man bremst indem man versucht rückwärts in die Pedalen zu treten. Sieht zwar nett aus so ohne alles, aber halt auch unverantwortlich im Straßenverkehr meiner Meinung nach.

Well... To be honest I am cheating a little bit. Fixies are cool, but in a city like Rotterdam it's also a bit suicidal.

I have used the rear hub from SRAM which is often used in foldable bikes. That way I can coast, it has two gears (shift automatically due to centrifugal force) and it has a back-paddle brake.

That's also why I don't have to use straps/click ons.

Ah hi to NL! According to german law, you would have to have a front brake too. ;)

That's why I always carry an extra stick :)
