I used the webapp version to browse, never registered. I find seeing photos of others, makes me jealous and self conscious, not saying bad about myself, just that I feel jealous of what features others have. Not healthy mindset for sure. I like it, more conversation focused, not "look what I have". Congrats to mastodon for being better community wise over fb or twitter.

You’re giving mixed messages in your post.

You say you like Mastodon, but your title says you got rid of it. Can you explain?

I like it in the way that it is kinder than corporate social media. I just don't like the style of it, like, it's person focused, like instagram, not content/community focused like reddit-style systems are. i see posts of people sharing photos of themselves, when i want to see only text based communities from subjects i'm interested in. Hope this makes sense.
