lisyarus explains the complex derivatives so well, it also becomes clear why conformal mapping interesting in complex analysis.

Cool, except in 3D you still need vectors and matrices (I mean quaternions without the scalar part are just vectors, and I don't see stretching being relevant for robotic arms)
